Shooting a football for the first time!!!! :o

I arrived at the game an hour before, looking for the spot to meet Smallwood at. When we met at the spot we briefly covered the camera settings and where we were allowed to stand. Getting started was very confusing at first, I felt out of place. After, taking a few practice shots the game we began!! Both teams ran through their signs, getting their adrenaline going.

I wanted to get as many pictures as I can while the sun was still out. Running from side to side trying to get the angles was very tricky. But I managed to get a good picture.

When the refs called a time out, that’s when I would look down and check my pictures to make sure I didn’t miss anything. When I looked through my pictures, I would check to see if my lighting was good.

When the team would score I stopped and turned my back to the field, start shooting the crowd’s reaction. So I could catch their reaction in the moment.

There was a specific part of the game that stood out, when the Killeen football players made a touchdown. They ran towards the crowd and held dangled a chain with pride.

Then a football player got injured, as everyone kneeled down I shot a picture of one of the players looking back at the medics to see if he was okay.

Throughout, the game I didn’t want to only focus on the football players, so from time to time I would go towards the drill team and the cheerleaders.

this was before the game

Then, I would go back to the football players and as I was shooting a picture, I caught one of the football player’s reaction to a tackle turning into a dog pile.

catching the football players face while running, you can just see the determination and how focus they are. The way they look after one another while one is attempting to go after the other person.

while I was looking through the lens trying to take pictures but also, watch the game i saw a tackle but as i saw the tackle i watched the guy being tackled. he held onto the ball with all his might without letting go.

towards the end of the game before, I left you could tell how tired the players were but they stilled play as hard as they could.
